SINCE 2001-- MUSIC ON GRANT STUDIOS
Over 60,000 private lessons taught to all ages!
All instruments taught plus voice!
ONLINE LESSONS AVAILABLE! No matter where you are located, you can learn an instrument! Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, since March 2020, we have been teaching online. We now offer in person lessons as well. Students who have not been fully vaccinated must continue to wear a mask. Otherwise, masks are not required.
OPTIONAL MUSICAL OPPORTUNITES FOR STUDENTS:
Spring Recital-Held at Wabash Ave Presbyterian Church in Crawfordsville. Students present their Festival Selections as a trial run prior to the music festival held the following Saturday. The recitals are not mandatory for those who wish to just study their instruments and not to perform, however, the recitals are most beneficial to good progression on instruments.
National Federation of Music Clubs Festival--Normally held each spring at a location in Hendricks County. This year, again, the festival was completed virtually, due to the pandemic. Students submitted videos and were judged virtually. Solos, ensembles, music theory, hymn playing, patriotic and folk songs are some of the events offered. Ribbons and trophies are awarded for individual performances.
Outdoor Summer & Fall Recitals-- Presented in June and September each year. The 2021 Summer Recital just happened on June 19th. The Fall Recital will take place in September. Both recitals are held at Crawfordsville's newest venue, Pike Place, at Pike and Washington Streets in downtown Crawfordsville. This is a stunning facility, featuring a huge, handicap-accessible stage, modern restrooms and a drinking fountain. A huge grassy area provides plenty of room for audiences to enjoy the light-hearted and traditional music on lawn chairs and blankets.
Students who have been taking lessons at Music on Grant Studios the longest are recognized and their pictures are displayed above the fireplace in our downstairs studio. Each student receives a pin, their lesson fee is frozen at the present rate and they are featured in bold in all recital programs. Current students who have been with us the longest are: Alexis Shelton (12-3-15), Tatsuya and Tomoko Greiner (4-7-16), Taishi Greiner (8-8-16), Lilly Klingbeil (2-6-17), and Cooper Smith (4-19-17).
